By the Fire

by Bill Turner   Oct 3, 2005

The rain falls like tears of love
As the dark skies shower our life today
The rain, like our love, sent from above
My love, come out and play

I will lay out the bed
Creating a wonderful place by the fire
A soft pillow for your head
A bottle of wine to fuel the desire

If I may be so bold
It all can wait
Put the phone on hold
Lets make it a date

Nothing matters in this life but you
It will all be there tomorrow
No matter what we do
From our piles of work, no one will borrow

Let love light this fall day
A few wonderful hours out of our life
Cuddling by the fire, we will stay
Married in our hearts, husband and wife
