Fragile nights

by Emily parsons   Oct 5, 2005

The rain fell down strong
Yet the sun smiled bright
The air was filled with dreams
Welcoming the night

Appeared a little snail
Distinctive markings on his shell
Then something unpredictable happened
But he knew all to well

The rain was falling harder
Than it ever did before
The thought of night was frightening
And the sun did smile no more

Children they were crying
Their teardrops forming trails
People cried , feared their lives
But this was no problem for the snail

The trees , they came down crashing
Destroying everything in sight
But the snail he did not worry
Neither did he fear for his life

Then the sun dissapeared completely
Waving goodbye to the snail
He slid of into the distance
As the deadly rain turned into hail.

Oh wow, that was really well written and very descriptive! i love poems that have anything to do with storms, and rain, as i love rain in general, but you seemed to portray it very well! definately keep up the great writing.. check out some of my poems if you get a chance! *hugs*
