My Own Worst Enemy

by Timothy Bledsoe   Oct 5, 2005

"I'm my own worst enemy."
That's what my actions say to me.

Whenever the world gets me down
I don't even take the time to look around.

I just lash out at all of my friends.
That's how it always seems to end.

The people to whom I am very close,
Are the ones that I seem to hurt the most.

They try to find out what I'm upset about.
But the only thing I do is shut them out.

They have not done anything to deserve it.
And I don't see that I'm losing them bit by bit.

I don't know why I have to be so angry.
I guess I'm just my own worst enemy.
