An Artists Death

by Timothy S   Oct 6, 2005

Treading through times of the past
Only heartache to find, no love to grasp
Memories and all unwind into this pool of tears
Less and less pain as the pills begin to fill me
Maybe this is the answer to my question
Tried to reason, just killed everything
Losing the will to fight both wars
Slowly making me ill, but all in my heart
Start to find reasons to go on, but little came
Soon enough they'll come to my funeral
Hear them whisper "I thought he was strong"
But if they only knew what he hid under his smile
The mask of emotion that kept them away
When all along, he knew his fate will be the same
As those of great artists like himself, Kurt Cobain
And others who inspire people today
I'll lay there in the casket, let them think
He just went insane
