A New Day

A white glowing orb
lights up the darkened night
shooting stars twinkle
bats start to take flight

Trees rustle softly
squirrels lay down to rest
mice scurry to their homes
wolves head out on a quest

Grass blows with the wind
flowers close silken petals
rivers gurgle satisfied
nothing polluted with mans metal

Mountains loom in the distance
accented by the painted sky
colors flourish everywhere
as the sun begins to rise

    as u might have guessed thats my fav part! but i loved the whole poem it was wonderful how u described a new day of life with the creatures of earth.

    Hmm...There was imagery of nature within each verse that smoothly flowed together. Nicely and very well done. Great job.
