Message In A Bottle

by Fighter (Ariane L.)   Oct 10, 2005

Wind rages in the cold night, its fury ever so present.
Waves crash against the ocean's shore, angry rhythmn.
Trees dance with the wind, powerless to its movement.

In the distance, a bottle balances in the waves.
The ocean's violence carries it to the shore.
Reaching out to the bottle, I hold it tight, holding on.

Inside, a note is written, the ink beginning to fade.
As I unfold the note, I attempt to read its content.
Written in ink, a message for help sent in desperation.

Inside the note, my writing stares back at me, confused.
Looking out into the ocean, I try to remember sending it.
The "Please, help me..." sends shivers down my spine.
My call for help sent without my consent, message in a bottle.
