My Last Crimson Regret

by Toni   Oct 11, 2005

Tears streaming down my pale cheeks
Once healthy, now pampered in blood
You promised you'd give me all the things
You knew you never could

Those promises and tear-filled dreams
Were lost in your cold eyes
I held on to the last wisps of love
Whilst swallowing your lies

Torn in two
With the night by my side
I owe you nothing
The moonlight is mine

Broken
He gave me his reflection
Smothered with his affection
I smelt the disillusion...
There was blood upon his shirt

So why don't you inhale your insecurities
As you try to stand so tall
Don't you see the crimson letters?
The writing's on the wall

Smeared with tears, distressed by fears
Words crying out from pain
Shadowed by each tumultuous fight
Yet highlighted from the shame

Spears break ice
From your wintry eyes
I'll stand my ground
In my circle of flames

Broken
He gave me his reflection
Smothered with his affection
I smelt the disillusion...
There was blood upon his shirt

And the scent of those nights
Capsize with the love
Fateful words intertwine,
I create my Epithet
Whispered for the final time
For my last crimson regret
