I hated my life

I tried to take my life,
Nobody even cared,
Said It was for attention,
But I was only scared,

Swallowed 14 tiny pills,
Then had a little think,
Of the people it would hurt,
I wanted to have a drink,

Then I just wanted to die,
And that was a true fact,
All those people ignored me,
And they said it was an act,

How can I lie about my feelings,
That is something I will not do,
I am sorry I am not perfect,
Sorry I am not like you,

I am grateful I did not die that day,
For I am worth so much more,
If you will not help me through it,
Then I hate you - that is for sure,

I am only a normal person,
Trapped in a life of pain,
Maybe if you loved me,
I would learn to smile again.

    Amanda, alot of emotion in this piece and another one that touched my heart. Some are stronger than others and I pray you find strength to deal with the hurt in your heart...We have to be strong and I know You're saying easier said than done, but you have to make yourself strong because you are loved...I love ya dear heart and I TRULY CARE!!!!!!

    Great Job with this one. Absolutly wonderful.. it all went together so perfectly and the rhyme scheme was jus awesome! great grand job lol.

    Wow! if this is true im glad that you didnt die... alot of poems on here are about death and suicide and its really sad. im just glad that you survived!

    also i liked this poem alot, it showed true emotion and how you really feel about life. The rhyming scheme was really good, you didnt try to force any words or anything. it had a nice steady flow
    great job, i look forward to reading more of your poems.
