Make-Believe

by Fighter (Ariane L.)   Oct 16, 2005

A little girl sits in the corner of her room.
Crying her miseries away, she hugs her doll.
Finding comfort with her make-believe friend.
Knowing her tears and cries go unnoticed.

Sitting in the corner, invisible to her parents.
Crying away the pain she keeps inside, tourmented.
Her words spoken only to the innocent doll.
Her words left unheard by those who matter most.

Holding her most prized possession close.
Holding onto the dreams she wants more than anything.
Holding onto miracles she no longer believes in.
Holding onto the fading hope that live will improve.

A little girl sits in the corner of her room.
Hugging the only thing that listens to her.
Hugging the only thing that is willing to comfort her.
Hugging the only thing that won't scream at her.

*never happened to me.
