The Magic Of The Dance

Time stood still for , tonight we danced
the soft rhythmical
beating of our hearts
our soul music

Gazing into the depths
of each others eyes
a conversation unfolds
unnecessary need for words
for we can foretell each others thoughts

Resting my head upon his chest
feeling peaceful in this haven
indifferent to the world around us
transfixed in a magical spell of love

His fingers softly brush my cheek
tenderly he caresses my face
ever so gently he pulls my face upward
to recieve his
softly laying a kiss upon my lips

Memories of the past occupy the moment
time when our love was fresh and new
memories frozen in time
only to be rekindled by the magic of the dance

No need to say I love you
yet my heart longs to hear the words
a single tear flows gently down my cheek
as he softly whispers " You are my life "
no other words need be spoken , as we danced
