What was the Question, Again?

by Aidyn   Oct 21, 2005

OK--uh, please don't ask about the first line. This was an activity for English class where we had to write something starting with any random sentence the teacher happened to choose from a book. I'm not sure if I like this...it's me being completely bored...ah well...it's my personnal satire of dark poems.

Feeding grapes to my leopards
Blighted thoughts in chains
Of Darkness, deep and swelling
A rapture fed with pain
Prostitution, mental satire
A numbing cut inside
Grey awareness coming, going
A dreary, rain-rinsed hide
No escape from solid evidence
Acoustics echo near
Telling gruesome, caustic tales
Young and old in line to hear
A horror and a whorage
Horticulture from within
Instrumental retardation
Inevitable sin
Terribly awful happenings
More than I can say
Feeding grapes to my leopards
They don't like them, anyway.

I am so jealous. For you to call this "a poem with no thought behind it" and have it still be amazing is a crime against humanity. This is better than a lot of stuff that I could ever write, and thats saying something. :) Excellent imagery and flow to this work. The atmosphere you've created is edgy and dark, I like this very much.
