The Pain

by unbelievable life   Oct 24, 2005

The blood on the sheets
And the blood smears on the pillow cases
The knife by her bed
All the pain and tears she shed
Nobody knew
What she was really going through
They all just would assume
She would make it through
They saw the open wounds
Saw the closed ones to
Her parents barely there
Maybe now they will take time to see her lying there
Her motionless body on her bed
The pool of blood and crimson tears she shed
The note beside the bed
All those words she had wished she said
The note beside the bed
All those words she had wished she said
All the words she wanted them to hear
From her pain to her fear
Her unanswered questions of why
All the things she said with a sigh
Just so she could hide
The pain she held inside
All her thoughts of wanting to die
As she lay there and cried
She grabbed the knife
And with one simple slice
The blood came pouring out of her wrist
This time the vein she didn't miss
The mark of the blades last kiss
The loving affection she missed
Was finally given to her by her knife
No more suffering no more strife
She finally has a better life
Standing on the other side of the light
