SCARECROW: FLESH & BLOOD

by Gary Jurechka   Oct 29, 2005

Shabby clothes just a well worn skin,
autumn sunset bathes the dead cornfield
in rose blood,
the only crow that remains is the one
of bone white
perched upon his shoulder as
the scarecrow gathers
the elements of humanity.
