Forgiveness for a liar

by Lady Vengeance   Oct 30, 2005

Here we are now, all alone
Huddled to our pride
Standing on the golden thrown
They should know you lied

You're envied by the very best
And loved by almost all
Hold on to your lying tongue
For you're about to fall

I know what you did to get,
Right where you are now
Cutting up your older friends
The ones who do not bow

They're the ones, who will tell,
Of your harsh deceit
Reputations tend to break
That's one thing you can't keep

Falling hard and falling fast
Who will catch you then?
Marking your name off the list
With one stroke of a pen

You were the queen of the light
The star that led the way
Roses filled with need and want
Around you they were lay

Well I'm the mistress of the dark
Misleading I may be
But never would I sell myself
To others, now you see

Lying in an angels arms
Her warm breath on your face
She will always love you
Although you've been disgraced

This is really good, and the flow is perfect. (I never feel as though my work flows right either, I guess we criticise our own work most). Thanks for your comment. You're definitely a favourite. I'll be commenting on more of your stuff for sure.
