You left me for dead

How is i still hurt even when im dead?
no happiness i do feel, painful tears i only shed.
no one stands beside me as a lost soul i stand alone.
corrupted by the world now my name is engraved in stone.
i am in the depths of darkness, no shed of light can heal my pain.
i lie broken from all the hurt,
by my grave ill cry the shame.
with a candle we were suppose to light our way through darkness and show our love can withstand each stressful day.
but without me you had left and at that stop i stayed and wait.
i thought that you'd return but i died waiting just for you.
to this day i stand there with deep sadness and so very much confused.
why would one who says he loves me, would hurt me to the core?
you left me with a broken heart beat, i often cry and hit the floor.
i wait upon your mercy for my soul you have killed,
you left nothing in me, but this pain ill forever feel.
