How to Lose Your Best Friend

This girl was my friend,
She was one who I cared for,
One who was there for me,
One who never kept score.

She was my equal,
My Ying and my Yang,
But in the 7th grade,
Things started to change.

I got better at things,
Became more popular,
My friend became jealous,
That I wasn't exactly like her.

I never stopped loving her,
But she hurt me everyday,
False accusations,
Always coming my way.

"You're never with me,"
Is what she'd always say,
But I still put up with it,
Until yesterday.

She wrote me a note,
Saying I abused her,
I replied OK,
I guess we aren't what we once were.

I cried that day,
Simply burst into tears,
No one was there for me,
As if no one could hear.

She wrote another e-mail,
Saying that I wasn't crying for her,
Who did she think I was crying for?
My mind turned into a blur.

My best friend hated me,
She said I was abusing,
What she didn't realize,
It was her best friend she was losing.

If she makes me feel this bad,
And she feels awful too,
Why should we stay friends,
We cannot remain true.

    Awww....that is so sad. I hope that you guys find a way to make up in the end but even if you don't I'm sure that you will make new friend's because there seems to be nothing wrong with you but with her....(I'm not saying that they will replace her). I know that I might be confusing because I'm confusing myself. Well the point is that I hope that you feel better. :) I love that way that you write your poetry...Its pure genious....you always get me captured...keep on cause I'm adding you to my favorites. *sorry I wrote a lot* 5/5

    I am very sorry to hear that you and your best friend is drifting apart.I know how it feels to loose a BEST FRIEND ,something I would never want to go through again.Sorry that she is trying to make you feel so bad.Awesome poem though..
