Because I Love You

by Vic   Nov 8, 2005

My mind, in the state it's in
Fears what the future brings.
All my problems are magnified,
I'm over thinking things.
I doubt she ever loved me
I doubt she ever will.
I think that I've been played
Using everything I feel.
My deepest treasure now
Is nowhere to be found.
Someone's stolen it
And loves to see me frown.
I haven't retrieved it yet
And not planning to anytime soon.
There's a curious child that has it
And they're picking at the wound.
I feel like I'm torn inside
From the person I've become.
I want to turn back time
But I guess what's done is done.
She left and then moved on.
Just like I told her to.
Then she makes me feel low
She jokes about it too.
I want to stop time so bad
Just so things won't get worse.
And if it's meant to happen
Love will do it's work.
Still after the pain
I'm here still waiting for you.
And if you really must know why, Rachelle..
It's because I'm still in love with you.
