A Life in Black and White

by Heather Prior   Nov 9, 2005

My friends call me dark.
Dark, like only the night can be.
It\'s not a color though,
And so they call me black.
isolated,alone,
fear, but unafraid,
cold, broken down.
But there\'s something I want to say.
I may be dark
It\'s becasue I\'m loenly.
I may be cold
It\'s because I\'m crying
I may be isolated
It\'s because I want to be.

Deep down I\'m really smiling,
A big white happy smile.
Shining for the world to see,
Wanting the world to notice me.
I\'m really a happy girl,
Wanting only to be loved.
I don\'t mean to be dark,
Idon\'t want to cover up the love.
I\'m scared that love will fade away.
Idon\'t want to be cold,
But my white light is fading.
