Flowing river

by dyingbrokenangel   Nov 9, 2005

The flow of the river
soothes my stressful mind,
as the cold water
covers my bare toes
sending a shiver from my feet to my back,
the deeper i fall into this long cold river
the calmer i get
up above, the sunlight catches my eyes
the birds are humming,
the frogs are croaking
drops of water trickle down my face
as the sky gets darker
and the water gets heavier
as the drops turn into rain
the sounds of the birds
gets fainter and fainter
as the noise of the forest is over taken
by the loud striking thunder
as the sound of storm fades to the chirping of the birds
and a near by waterfall,
i feel myself being taken over
by the soft
by the calm
by the gentle
forest
