THE KITTEN AND THE CHILD (For Erika (& Fiver))

by Gary Jurechka   Nov 9, 2005

The kitten and the child
playing, romping, running wild,
full of curiosity, energy and brightness,
I watch, amused, heart filled with lightness.

Contented exhaustion over them creep,
the kitten upon the child, they fall asleep,
smiled upon by heaven above,
silently I watch, heart filled with love.

That is so sweet. I felt as I watched it.
