Neccessity

They'll never understand just why,
At times I could break down and cry,
From needing you to hold me near,
When I know that you can't be here.

I'd try to tell them of my pain,
But there's no words that could explain,
The emptiness inside my heart,
That lingers from the time we part.

Without your smile when I wake,
I feel so sore that I could break,
I'm glowing when I hear you speak,
But when I don't I feel so weak.

How is it that they're unaware,
Or ignorant of what we share?
I thought by now it would be clear,
We're as in love as we appear.

I long to tell them to their face,
How much I crave your warm embrace,
How in my dreams they understand,
The need for you to hold my hand.

I've made my choice and promise too,
To be with you my whole life through.
How long will it take them to see,
That you are my neccessity?
