Life After Break

by EpithetPoet   Nov 13, 2005

I crumpled into your arms
Like the pages of a burning book
My words lost in your embrace
Letting the ashes gently fall

Humming that i shouldnt worry
It's just another novel to write
Another lesson in this wondrous world
Dont give up on it just yet

Look around you my dear
The clouds are still suspended
The grass still supports the dew
Every inch calls out to you, look

Stare past the pain dear
For its moments are fleeting
Tangled within your tears
A mere hiccup in your heart

Listen to the birds sing their greeting
They welcome you to the world
Scrape the ashes from the window now
And you will see them laugh

So get off your knees now
For you're staining them with red
And listen to your new life glisten
And you'll notice what you never had

*i guess i'm just getting paranoid because i have a wonderful guy but all i keep thinking is that moment when we break up...*

I really enjoyed this different rhyme scheme of yours. How delightful and wonderful a piece. Yet so interestingly dark and imaginitive ... That is the "break up." Or the fear there of.

    The begginning is absolutly wonderful.

The telling of a tale, of a burning book. The book is manifest, real. And it is something like a novel - that is love. It is as if you are reading another love story. Sort of whimsically flattered to read it and have it mirror your self. Yet it burns ...

Mellowdramatic and delightful gorgeous. Beyond a 5/5.
