Winter Inside

by Mistress   Nov 13, 2005

As autumn leaves
My season begins
My sun is down
Together with all living things
My feelings went into hibernation
A long time ago
They disappeared with the first snow

The coldness in me
From the world I must hide
Summer on my face
Winter inside

A winter-world hidden within
The coldest of ice
Dwells under my skin
See my heart -
A wintry scenery
Damaged by frost
Because of Thee

The coldness in me
From the world I must hide
Summer on my face
Winter inside

The once so vivid emotions
They died
Summer on my face
Winter inside

The winter too cold
To let the spring begin
Too cold
To let the warmth come in
I'm concealed
In an armour made of ice
Break through my shell
Come melt the ice

Chilly, and cold to the bone. Your enhancement of the coldness really makes me shiver. =P It speaks of great sadness, like there's this hidden cause for this winter. You did not elaborate on the cause of it, and it creates a space for imagination. At least for me, I started thinking what causes this intense coldness. =D
