Total Eclipse

by Katrina Boblina   Nov 17, 2005

Darkness falls upon the skies
And all the good things finally die.
finally a darkness to hide my sins
finally a darkness to hide my cry.

No shadow following me
no one watching my eyes.
Not a soul is now listening
to whats soon to be your cries.

Your cries will never be
something good to you
because your cries will always be
a secret hiding whats true.

A total eclipse
without sound or light
A silent darkness
that you can't fight.

So take a breath
and in that instant
your life is mine
but the darkness isn't.

If I could hold
the darkness in my grip
It would be held right next
to your heart with a rip.

The spiders crawl
and the owls scream.
the darkness howls
just like a dream.

Soon it will return
to the bright ugly sun
and the eclipse will stop
as I wait for the next one.

I have read your stuff before. You haven't comment back. People probably don't read your poetry anymore because of the broken promise 'I will return the favor' Just make sure you pull through for them, and they will keep coming back. As for me, I read poetry for enjoyment, not for ratings or comments.

Thats nice very cool, i am really touched, that it opended my eyes to what we do and accept it as normal. But that is another poem. Keep it up.

It was kinda hard to follow...but who am I to talk, anyway, it was a superb poem. I would advise you to ignore anyone who rates you less than a five!
