Pride

by Knight_of_Blackrose   Nov 18, 2005

You say I let my pride get in the way
Pride, an essential to the very essence of existence.
Striving for excellence
How can it be wrong?

My pride is what drives me
Drives me to be who I am and who I want to become
How can something so shapeless be so essential to the shaping of your being

You say I let my pride get in the way
Yet, I hold tight to my pride
For I am proud
Proud I can call you my love
Proud I can call you my own
