Seven Deadly Sins

by Elynnka   Nov 23, 2005

Lingering in here... wishing for...
Unique pleasure hidden deep inside thy core,
Sealed away from prying eyes...
That desire never dies...

Everything around you seems so desirable,
Nothing that you say you think can be reliable.
Volatile venom pushed in your veins,
You're left alone in this place where darkness reigns.

Golden throne, thy satin dress,
Rings and gems that are priceless,
Entrapped within your world of needs,
Emphasized upon your selfish deeds,
Dusted thy heart filled with pagan creeds...

Anguished and jaded an ashen face...
Nameless thy feeling that steers you in disgrace.
Gathering strength to unleash thy evil kind,
Engulfed with hatred, you're led by a darkened mind
Risen inside you and leaving you blind...

Sleeping all day and laying in bed,
Lavender scent... working you dread.
Obligation, a word unknown to you,
Thinking of nothing, staring at the sky so blue,
Hiding between silky sheets, it's what you always do.

Violet orchids gently falling upon your hair
As the world around you slowly dies, but you don't care;
Nothing at all concerns you, except yourself,
Interested only in thy reflection from mirror on the shelf.
Tangled up within thoughts of your own success,
You worship yourself only to show thy shallowness.

Generosity shown only to thy self when eating
Lustful, swallowing greedy or when one self's drinking,
Unbelieving that this could be so badly wrong
Trying to deceive the others, but for how long?
Temples built with bricks of sin, a grave for many
Obsessed with the pleasure of feeding with more than plenty.
Names of shame for those who act like this, so low,
Yelling at themselves, for they have nothing more to show...
