My Salvation

by Fighter (Ariane L.)   Nov 25, 2005

Trapped within, my soul cries for deliverance.
Memories still haunt me, left in the dark;
The light never managed to extinguish them.
After so many years, they continue to exist.
Vivid.

Even when I thought all hope was gone,
I kept on fighting, continuing my path.
For I knew that somewhere along the way,
The darkness would bleed into the day.
I saw beauty through the pain.

Poetry helped me heal the wounds.
Sports helped me release the anger
I held towards my past, prisoner.
My salvation.

    Nice work. The words were great and well done. Images good and still it's the words that caught my attention.
