December Skies

by DMG   Nov 30, 2005

Shadow of Darkness in my arms
Reflections bleed from innocent eyes
Hearts frozen in the frost
Blessed are December skies

Semen snowflakes fall about
Melt the snow with flames of lust
Born are sins of Christmas Eve
December skies and clouds of dust

Voice of truth is overthrown
Tears of salt burn crimson cheeks
Reddened eyes of blackened souls
Welcome in December weeks

Metaphors fill empty nights
Avoid words of truths and lies
As that man dressed all in red
Soars across December skies

Outstanding! The entire piece is superb, but I really like this stanza:

    "Voice of truth is overthrown
Tears of salt burn crimson cheeks
    Reddened eyes of blackened souls
    Welcome in December weeks"

    Just brilliantly written! Take care~Holly
