Apartheid

by Bill Turner   Dec 2, 2005

Afrikaners create apartheid
Tormenting all others
Separate the people and hide
Afraid of their brothers

Fear driving decisions
Ruining many a life
Pouring out their derisions
Creating racial strife

A legend is born in prison
The Rainmaker has come
A bold and crafty decision
While pretending to be dumb

Tribes unite and learn
Rainmaker spreading his will
Afrikaners continue to burn
Torching the village on the hill

Englishman giving it his all
Driven by what is right
No longer feeling small
Stepping up, leading the fight

One person making change
Staying true to his heart
What can you rearrange?
Will you do your part?

Big words, I had to look some up. But they made sense. Very intellectual piece of poetry my friend. I learned something new today. Well, a few words.
