Mourning

by Lyla   Dec 3, 2005

The Reaper has come
To take away everyone I hold dear
To strip away
All who ever loved me
He has come to take my heart
Chew it up and spit it out
Leaving scattered pieces
On the floor
One swift swipe of the sife
The lives of so many are torn
Why must he prey on me
Although he hasn't struck me yet
I might as well be dead
For the pain of sorrow
Is far too immense to bare
Mourning keeps my mind in grief
A vicious spell that cannot be broken
So I sink lower into anguish

Great topic. To help with the flow, try:
    Leaving scattered pieces
    On the deserted floor

    Good job Lyla!
Very impressive, it had a lot of great imagery, and I loved the connection beetweeen the "reaper" and your emotions.

Awesome, great flow and the ending sums everything you've said up well.
