Naught But A Name

by Kim   Dec 4, 2005

You're naught but a name on the wind
A black and white photo where a face should have been
An antique hero, a forgotten friend

No stories, no poems, no legends, no songs
You were but one in the deafening throngs
An irrelevant loose end that Fate brought along

You're but one of many, who are no more
Just another casualty, the remnants of war
And still wondering, was it worth dying for?

You gave only suffering and received only pain
Yet nobody noticed and not a thing changed
And in this life you're naught but a name
