Love Me, Love Me Not

by Karla Gordon   Dec 4, 2005

Look at me, look into my eyes
My eyes if you look really close
Show the pain you have inflicted
Lack of love, tenderness and caring.

When I need you, you are not there
Hard times, sadness, all through the storms
You sit my my side, never offering any comfort
Treating me with so little love and respect.

Through the hardest times you never reached for me
Your arms never surrounded me, kisses were not had
When I cried you were not there to wipe my eyes
I looked to you waiting and hoping, no love was seen.

I feel my heart has turned to stone, solid as a rock
The times I needed you most you were out of reach
By my side but silent, not once pulling me close
I started shielding myself from the pain.

I am here but you have to take a chance
Reach for me, caress me gently, kiss me softly
Help to make my heart tender for you again
It hurts to be a rock, I yearn for sweet love.
