What I Feel

by Larry   Dec 6, 2005

I am unable to tell when a needle pricks my skin,
But I am able to feel;
I would feel nothing if a knife was thrust into my leg,
However, my pain is quite real!

I cannot feel the slightest, for I have not the sense of touch!
I feel with my heart, mind, and soul!
In fact, I may be guilty of feeling far too much!

Without doubt I cannot feel in the conventional way.
Yet, I suffer from tremendous pain!
I do not say this to upset you.
I only offer you words with a lesson to gain!

You can gain a true understanding of what it means to feel!
It is to possess a broken heart, troubled mind, and a lost soul!
Such anguish is what mankind should realize is real!
