Christmas Time

by Karla Gordon   Dec 9, 2005

Snow is falling so very gently
Covering the world in a new blanket
Making everything soft and white
Glimmering with a special spark
The quiet and peaceful beauty
Feels like I am in heaven.

The lights twinkle and shine
My Christmas tree all aglow
Presents wrapped beneath the tree
Bows and tags all secure
Each decoration in its place
Patiently waiting for that special day.

Excitement of my children in awe
Watching the lights of the tree
Seeing the presents all around
Counting the days until its time
To celebrate a special day
Family, love and special times.
