Good Intentions

by DL Kendall   Dec 15, 2005

They say the road to love,
is paved with good intentions.
And satisfaction acheived,
without devine intervention.

The words we trap on the tips of our tounges,
what we hold back,
what we leave undone.
Will it smother us in the end?

Shadows of what could have been,
hidden passions trapped within.
Compromising,
meeting in the middle,
leaves so much rope slacked on either end.

A stranger\'s face,
could be a friend.
To try with half effort,
to try and bend.

We try, we do,
or so we say.
Then we save it for another day.
