Blue Moon

by Ixora   Dec 15, 2005

It’s funny how the time will pass
Yet can go by so slow
When your arms are leaving him
But your heart begs not to let go

And all the memories come rushing back
Everything you ever thought you could be
The words you shared and fights you had
All regrets you couldn’t see

The things you did to get revenge
The things you couldn’t say
A relationship of adolescent love
Served from far away

We were much too young then
And it was too much too soon
The talk of love and hope of forever
Things that could happen once in a blue moon

Our moon was much too red and malevolent
Leading us to repetitively hide in each other charms
Hoping true love would overcome the evil
The hate that would scar up our arms

And our love was real I knew that then
As true as love can be
The things we had and how we acted
I knew, but I didn’t want to see

Maybe it’s both our faults
But the end is still the end
My arms have now replaced my eyes
For they have no more tears to spend

Maybe we’re like Romeo and Juliet
Or maybe more like Snow White
Either way it seems to me
That neither of us was right

And all my life I’ve never wanted
All the things I’ve wanted with you
But I guess for now I’ll keep quiet
Until the moon turns blue

That was interesting...I guess it's almost like a love poem but I'm not entirely sure. Nice job though.
