Nothing Matters Now

by Crossiance   Dec 16, 2005

She has done it again.
She's gone against her vow,
But she doesn't care
'Cause nothing matters now.

The loneliness was threatening
For no one knew her pain,
Nor anything about the cuts
That lay upon her veins.

The lies began to get to her,
The insults made her cry,
She;d had enough and once again
Wanted desperately to die.

She picked up the scissors
And spread the blades apart
As her heart beat faster
She knew this wasn't smart.

But she put the blade to her skin
And with tight eyes, pressed down,
Dragged the blade across her wrist,
And let the blood soak her gown.

She now looks down at the blood
But all she sees is white.
Once again her gown is clean
And her figure shines with light.

She walks through the long tunnel
Her head forever facing down.
Tears pour gently down her cheeks,
But nothing matters now.
