In Anticipation of Battle...

by Aidyn   Dec 17, 2005

I lie in wait below unseeing air
Turbulent still since the brightest one fell
Pathetic fallacy foul and yet fair
No sound to hear but the ominous knell
Silent bells ringing for no one but me
Restless wind stills itself, thickens in fright
Omniscient vengeance of the weavers, three
Gives birth to dark clouds, an air-ridden blight
A scout of the vapour falls from the sky
Lands where I lie, others will soon follow
Though some things in life are too soon to die
It is not remorse that carves my soul hollow
In calm before storm I recount my sins
The war of my life will soon begin...

My first shot at a sonnet...albeit strange...it does appertain to love, though...

Hmm...has macbeth been inspiring, then, i presume? (this brought flashbacks of one of lady macbeth's soliloquys...so dark and moody)

hehe, great stuff here....my first sonnet was an ode to bubblegum..
