The night i left you

So many things were left unsaid that late night I left you.
I knew not what to do, what to say, so I pushed you away.
Unwillingly, you did the same.
And now that you're gone, I realize how much I miss you, need you.
I could never be the same without your love; without your kiss; without your touch.
I need you by my side to be happy.
Although I know this will only happen again, because I wasn't meant to love.
I was only meant to break hearts.
One after another I take them, and one after another I break them.
I can't help but give up on this thing called love.
Knowing that I'll never make anyone happy, I let my heart shatter on the ground.
I'm so sorry for the pain I caused;
For the hearts I broke and the love I lost.
