My other mother

by Tim Bradshaw   Dec 23, 2005

You're the reason that I am alive,
I have you to thank for it all.
You helped me through the roughest times,
You helped to break my fall.

When my parents deserted me you cared,
This is why I call you mother,
You were there for my when I was hurt,
To me you are like none other.

You told me right from wrong,
You told me to keep my head straight,
You got me out of the life I had,
Your who I am still to this date.

So I just want to thank you now,
For all the things you have done,
No one encouraged me the way you did,
To me I am your son.

Thanks a million Mom for being there for me when I needed someone the most. You were there for all of us kids when our parents left us. So thank you for everything you did and may god rest your soul.

Very heartfelt and moving. I can understand and feel your pain. I am glad that there is someone that you can treasure such loving memories of.
