Fade to black

by mary jetton   Dec 30, 2005

People,
they think I'm crazy.
But I'm not crazy,
I'm just alone.
Alone,
in my dark little world,
in my lonely little corner,
holding my only rose,
that was never there to begin with.
Me,
I must get out of this world into the next.
I cut once,
twice,
three times to make sure i won't be alive.
Blood comes rushing,
from deep inside my veins.
I can feel myself fading away,
leaving this world for good.
My body is starting to turn white,
my eyes are starting to close.
I'm starting to wonder if it was my time to go.
I look down for the last time,
I see my blood covering my bedroom floor.
Tears begin to flow,
and my rose,
it turns black,
as i fall to the floor.
With my blood,
with my tears,
and with my heart,
giving up for you.
