One Last Goodbye

"You have a perfect soul."
He told me as we took that devestating stroll
"You know that i will always love you through and through.
But, I believe it's coming to an end for me and you."
And suddenly my heart came to a stop.
The tears began to drop.
He held me tighter.
"Baby, I still love you and you're a fighter.
We'll get through this together
Trust me it's for the better."
He says he love me
He says he needs me
We were truly meant to be.
Why does he choose this?
Does he forget the bliss
when we were so happy?
My soul has been altered
My life has been changed
Our feelings have been deranged
And as he leans in for one last kiss,
I did the hardest thing I could possibly ever do,
I said, "One last kiss, will only bring me memories of you."
I broke free of his arms, trying not to cry.
And I looked into his eyes and said one last goodbye.
