Distance of the Heart

by Francesca   Jan 15, 2007

Someone once said,"Home is where the heart is," but what if your heart is not home?

What if you feel that your heart has been stolen from you, and taken miles away, where the distance grew and grew?

What do you do when your heart continues to beat, but it's hard to stay stable on your two wobly feet?

A bond that grew in a time so short; we love each other, but this is our only resort.

I knew it would be difficult from the start,
so at the time I thought what I did was smart.

Little did I know that part of me was missing,
and my soul was captivated with hours of reminiscing.

And although the distance is long,
I know just where my heart does belong.

The heart may not be home, and much too far, but it's comforting to know, exactly where you are.
