The Song's Melody

Listening to the song, I feel it within.
Its sad melody sinks deep inside.
The words penetrate in my skin,
Poisoning my soul, poisoning my strength.

The words echo in my head, memories.
As the song plays, I remember it all.
Written from someone else, my lies.
They poison my soul once again.

Although the song tears me up inside,
A force unables me to stop the melody.
I'm unable to stop the pain, unable to fight.
I can't stop what I've escaped for so long.

Sitting here, listening to the song,
I'm unable to stop the pain that strikes my heart.
I remember the sleepless nights, wondering what I did wrong...
Listening to the sad melody, the lyrics;
I remember my past, I remember it all.

So I sit here, writing my feelings away once more.
Unable to escape the pain,
I sit in it, as I've done so many times before.
The song's melody fills the room;
My life's story plays...

    Fighter Hunny... I seriously dunno what to say anymore, Your words leave me in awe, I cant relate and feel everything you describe, You are my writing hero, my role modle if you will lol. You amaze me and leave me breathless with each poem. Well done Hun! I esp love
