Souls alike

There was a man
who lived many souls ago
and knew there was happiness
stuck within his old body
that quit growing with the world

and this man
had the mind
of a tree

cause he took what came
and left everything else alone
he spoke of souls
and how they're distant
from our bodies
alike in every way

and this man
had the heart
of a falling star

cause he lived his life fully
passed unaware of death
but will shine through
many souls to come
