Don't be fooled

Clear away the cobwebs,
and take away the pain.
Gaze at the look in my eye,
and see that we're the same.

Take away your guard,
lift up your shield of steel.
Bring back your warm emotion,
that enables you to feel.

I guess that I'm just like you,
My smile says my life is swell.
But i tremble and shake,
inside my fragile shell.

Don't be fooled by my facade,
I've worn it now for years,
cause often just below my smile,
My throat is full of tears.
