This is my life, would you like a tour

by Brigitte   Jan 5, 2006

My heart begins to fall
I can feel it descending more and more
Didnt you say you were going to call?
This is my life, would you like a tour?

I realized today that I loved you
Am I too late?
Have I missed my cue?
Did you lock the Iron Gate?

Im starting to loose grip,
A tear trickles down from my eye
I try to bite my lip
But I cant help but cry.

I find It hard to make it through my days
My heart is overcome with grief
The sun seems to be hiding from me, Its glorious rays,
But I guess I should just make this brief

I Love You and I forever will,
No matter what you say,
Your like a drug free cheerful pill
You will always be the bed upon which I lay.

Hey this poem is really good. I like the whole subject and topic you chose. Wonderful. I read this poem a lot. Not too long not too short, not too deep not too shallow, everything was just right. The flow was perfect also.

    Except for one line:
The sun seems to be hiding from me, Its glorious rays,

It's too long compared to all the other lines.

    Great rhyming scheme.
