The Most Gullible of Lovers

by David Paul   Jan 6, 2006

I'm just so tired of falling in love and it falling apart,
No matter how hard I try I can't stop them from breaking my heart,
I just give it away like a puppy so trusting and innocent,
It's like my hearts one of those bum houses for rent.

I want to stop being so trusting but then I wouldn't be me,
No matter what stuff I do I'm as simple as can be,
I'll give you my trust no matter how horrible you've been,
It's like I follow Jesus' example and forgive every one of there sins,

But even Jesus knew who he couldn't trust,
He avoided those who only wanted lust,
And that's not me because I trust everyone,
I don't know when it's time to turn around and run.

So if you want a trusting fool who you can throw around,
Just look for the leprechaun and you'll know where I'll be found,
I'm about 5'10" with a heart of the softest gold,
I'm here for anyone who wants someone to mold.
