Higher Power

by Bill Turner   Jan 7, 2006

At night fire fills the sky
Day's dark as night
Acrid smoke filling the air
Flesh burning amidst the screams
Hell or so it seams

Fell beasts everywhere
Land barren and scorched
Lash of whips against the skin
Chains binding them tight
Torment day and night

Lost souls unable to fight
Choices made perils sought
All hope is not lost
Found amongst the ruin a flower
Filling the lost souls with a higher power
