Road of Life

by Bill Turner   Jan 14, 2006

Many a lesson has been learned
Tripping through life
Stumbling over myself as I lay in my way
My biggest obstacle, the biggest challenge has been me...
Constant struggle to be free...

Getting in my way
Making a mess of things...
Life's lessons learned
It has all come at a cost
Precious moments lost...

I am learning to get out of my way
Cast my shadow and move along
Trying not to stumble over me
Live through the seasons of emotion
Finding that elusive love potion...

Into each life rain will fall
No longer contributing to the flood
Moving to higher ground
Not stumbling over my heart
Making a new start...

Contributing to what I need
Finding laughter along the way
Lessons learned...
Will you walk a while with me?
Laugh and smile, be free...
